FAGOPYRUM. ( The Buckwheats)
-   dibotrys.  A spreading plant suitable for the wilder damp garden. Plain green heart shaped leaves and white flowers. 5ft.  E

FALLOPIA.
-   baldschuanica.  The Russian Vine. Wonderful growing up a dead tree! One can't say that it's invasive. It is just massive and can hide a barn in a few years.  To 30ft  F
-  japonica 'Pattison's Form'. An important new introduction. All the beauty of the infamous Japanese
Knotweed with almost none of it's invasive habit. Splendid tropical looking foliage, sprays of pink tinged flowers in Summer and stalwart green, red spotted stems. Male Fertile  8 ft. F
               -    -   'Spectabilis'.  Best in a position sheltered from the wind this gloriously variegated Knotweed is for the wilder garden as it is invasive. The leaves are splashed with ivory and cream. 8 ft.  E
-   -   compacta.  A non-invasive form and a miniature. Very red stems and dark pink flowers make it ideal for beside the smaller natural pond. 3ft.  E
-   -   'Milkboy'.   A small and non-invasive variety of recent introduction from Japan via the USA. Stunning pure white leaves become splashed with green as the season advances.  4ft.  H
- sachalinensis.  The giant of the family and only suitable where there is plenty of room as it spreads with enthusiasm. It produces a distinctly tropical jungle effect .  9ft  G

POLYGONUM
- scoparium. (syn. equisetiformis)  This is in fact the only plant retaining the generic name of Polygonum. 
It looks like nothing else having string like dark green stems carrying leaves that are minute little scales.
These stems also carry the very profuse tiny white flowers in August. Prefers open sunshine and drier conditions as one would expect from it's Mediterranean provenance. 3 ft.  E
