ACONITUM (Monkshoods) Spires of hooded flowers from late Spring to Autumn according to variety. Finely cut foliage is an added bonus for these woodland plants and make them ideal subjects for planting beside the shadier pond.


Aconitum 'Ivorine' Ivory white flower in Jul/Aug. 5ft.	£4.50

AJUGA These creeping plants are most useful for covering pond edges thickly and quickly or underplanting in borders that do not dry out. There is a wonderful variety of leaf colour to choose from as well as a wide variety of flower colour.

ARISARUM


Arisarum proboscideum (Mousetail Arum) Dense clumps of shiny triangular leaves hide chocolate brown spathes which have six inch long tails in May. A delight, especially for children of any age who enjoy looking for the “mice”. Likes slightly moist half shade. 10 ins	£5.00

ARUNCUS Essential and handsome plants best in damp semi-shaded woodland but will grow well in almost any conditions


Aruncus dioicus (Goatsbeard). Elegant ferny leaves form a large long lasting hummock, surmounted in mid-summer by exciting and large white plumes. 6ft	£5.50
